Global Pandemic and Higher Education Institutions: Building Back Better in BRICS and Beyond

چکیده

The COVID-19 pandemic manifested in health and socioeconomic crises globally on many levels. At its outset, the interrupted higher education institutions (HEIs) 185 countries, dramatically affecting lives of millions students staff. unexpected disruption also exacerbated inequalities placed most vulnerable members society at even greater risk, especially lower-income countries. Simultaneously, underscored importance HEIs as intellectual leaders experts overcoming societal challenges. This study reviewed international scholarly literature global surveys corresponding to pandemic’s impact education, particularly influence academic research activities, teaching practice, HEIs’ response such Findings indicate a need for adapt new realities, harness lessons learned, convert challenges into opportunities. Moreover, institutional responses provide commitment creativity that can be informative building better future among BRICS states beyond.
